In this shot you can see the original green machine in action at Weirs Beach in Laconia, N.H. circa 2003.

The spoked wheels we originally put on the bike were less than durable enough to withstand Brad's riding habits so they were tossed in favor of a pair of Mags. The solid aluminum rear wheel has no spokes to break and is one inch narrower than the 40 spoke rear we had. this allows the 200mm tire a little more breathing room under that fender (essential when we are sure every bit of suspension travel is being used).

One of the major problems with the original Green Machine was the tail light/plate bracket setup it used to have (it would eat license plates). We solve that by mounting the plate on the side and recessing a '39 Ford taillight into the fender.

The Green Machine, like many of the bikes built or customized at UGC, sees some hard miles. After a few years and many thousands of miles, we were left with damaged and worn paint, bent fork tubes, bald tires and many destroyed accessories. Though, as you can see we have successfully resurrected the Green Machine and it is better than ever.

Here you can see the updated paint scheme, we kept the UGC composite fender for the rear but we tossed the vinyl tank that was included with the Kenny Boyce frame package in favor of a steel tank. Also visible in this shot are the new 1 1/4" handlebars with hidden wiring, and the exquisite Jay Brake forward controls which replaced the tired BDL set we had on there previously.

The 21" 3 spoke mag looks fantastic rolling down the road. We wrapped both wheels in Avon Venom Rubber.
