This bike is a '92 Softail. We think that the bike was customized soon after it was purchased in the mid-90's. It had a handsome custom paint job which was probably created by a sign painter at that time. As is the case many times with many of us, accidents do occur and the bike was damaged. the owner brought the bike to us to see if we could fix the damage and match the paint already on it. Being that we do not love to copy other people's work we were able to convince him that we could create our own custom design using the colors he specified (as well as a couple of our own). To his credit he trusted us and the results are the modern graphics seen here.

We hear many of our customers and many people we meet in our travels comment that they are tired of the same old thing.  Many more comment that they believe the traditional flame job is over done (we are not of that school of thought).  Well let us present the cure for the same old thing and certainly not a flame job.  This paint job includes nine separate colors, three of the nine are multi-stage custom colors and include airbrushed details.

The hand pinstriped edges are the handiwork of our friend Steve LeBlanc, and include 4 separate colors.

The Silver includes a dry flake additive called Ultra Mini Rainbow Flake.  A photo could never capture the effect this creates.  In the sunlight all the colors of the spectrum are reflected in brilliant clarity almost to the point of having to shade your eyes.  The green is actually a yellow that we airbrushed green candy details into to achieve the gelatinous effect seen here.  The lower background (under the silver) is a purple marbelizer and finally the blue is a three stage candy that shows up bright blue in the sun but fades to nearly black in the shade.

We present this bike - or more specifically this paint job - as proof positive that there is no such thing as  "West Coast" Custom paint.  This is just another example of Wild and Crazy Custom paint produced right here on the East Coast by your Underground Chopper.
