The owner of the truck is customizing it himself and approached us to handle some of the more tricky fabrication on this dash for him. Notice in the "before" picture the square hole in the left of the dash for the original instrument array, also notice the original holes for the radio and windshield wiper assy. These are the areas of the dash we were commissioned to customize.

Sounds simple enough, however, the original hole was larger than the new panel and required that the dash first be filled and smoothed before we could even begin fitting the new panel.

The owner provided us with a fancy billet gauge panel and asked us to "french" it into the dash in place of the original square array.

Trials and tribulations aside the resulting installation is super clean as you can see in the "after" photo. In order to maintain a classic or nostalgic look the vertical grooves in the center of the dash had to remain and required some tricky work to fill the windshield wiper hole that was oriented right in the middle of them. Everything else was filled and smoothed to create this clean custom dash.
