A friend and regular customer here recently bought this Big Bear "Merch" Chopper at a good price.  The bike was everything he thought he wanted in a custom bike in one convenient package, except for one thing.  His girl loves to ride as well.  We took a close look at the situation for the rear fender and determined that because of the give and movement of the rear fender that it was not suitable for long term duties holding up a passenger.  To resolve this he decided after pouring over pictures in magazines that a sissy bar would look cool and reinforce the fender. He showed us a few pics, pointed us in the direction he was thinking of and we came up with what you see here.

The mounting lugs are all machined and countersunk to accept 3/8 cap screws flush for clean attachment. The bar itself is constructed of 5/8 solid steel rod. The sissy bar holds the fender rock solid and blends with the intended look of the bike perfectly. This was a retro fit to a finished bike and it looks seamless, you would never know that it wasn't part of the original build ( a little food for thought for those considering custom projects on their finished ride).   We blue printed this design, so if you would like one of these for your "Merch" or similar model bike, we can fab one up and ship it anywhere.
