Yamaha V-Star Headlight Assembly

Yamaha V-Star - full view

This bike belongs to a regular customer. The usual work done on this bike include regular maintenance and some accessory installation. This time, however, the commission was to convert the Yamaha spotlights he received as a gift into a dual headlight setup.

Using the stock housings and reflectors, the electrical guts were swapped out for H-4 headlight bulbs with some minor modifications to the reflectors. This allows the lights to operate with high and low beams as well as increases the wattage of the lamps. The mounting brackets are machined from billet aluminum with stainless steel hardware and represent most of the fabrication for this job.

They are fully adjustable allowing the customer to tailor the aim to his preference. At first glance this modification may not grab huge attention but upon inspection this adds an element of detail that can not be purchased off of a shelf and other (sharp eyed) V-Star owners should notice.
